Many of us have had someone we love impacted by cancer. For me, it is my mom. A few years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. I'm happy to report that she is a survivor and cancer free today. Early detection certainly helped in her case, as did the advances in medicine and treatment. If you are 40+, schedule your mammogram and pay attention to your body. If you notice unusual changes, take time out to visit your doctor. It's always better to play it safe.
